The pandemic has been dreadful for us in so many ways, and our skin hasn’t escaped. Wearing masks so much of the time has caused many of us skin problems while being inside so much has dried our skin out. And that’s not to mention the stress to our skin because we are worried about the present and the future.
However, all is not lost. Here are some great products available that won’t cost you an arm and a leg and may just improve the condition of your skin. Remember, start of all good skincare starts with properly cleansed skin.
AHC Aqualuronic Cleanser
This was originally designed for top of the range clinics in South Korea, so it has to be good. It is a light foaming cleanser that provides a deep clean to remove makeup and day-to-day dirt while hydrating the skin. It contains ceramides and French Sea Water to help strengthen the skin’s water barrier and three different weights of hyaluronic acid, so it penetrates different layers of the skin. It’s reasonably priced too.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel
As the name suggests, this is a hydrating gel cleanser that feels really mild and soothing on the skin. Water activates it to gently cleanse the skin and hyaluronic acid helps get rid of impurities as well as protecting the skin. The makers tell us it uses patented technology to cleanse the skin. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and fully cleansed and what’s even better is that it is suitable for sensitive skin.
Carbon Theory Charcoal & Tea Tree Oil Breakout Control Cleansing Bar
Organic charcoal helps remove bacteria, oil, and toxins from your skin, while tea tree, a natural antiseptic, reduces inflammation and helps calm the skin. Plus, it contains shea butter which helps to keep your skin hydrated. It works by drawing out impurities and pulling moisture into the skin. It’s great for sensitive skin.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist
This is a great mist from the cult Eight Hour range. It can be used over make-up or any time your skin needs a bit of a boost: after you’ve been to the gym, before bed or when you are stuck in an air-conditioned building. It’s full of anti-oxidants and vitamins. It’s made from a superfruit blend containing acai and goji to name but two. It leaves the skin looking healthy and feeling invigorated.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum
This serum has been independently validated and makes the skin look smoother and more refined. L’Oreal says you will see results after a week of use. Over time, wrinkles and dark spots are reduced. If you have sensitive skin, they recommend using only two to three times a week to start and build up gradually.
